Creating charts in Juvonno is simple. This guide will show you how to start a chart, continue working on it, save your progress, and lock it when you're finished. You'll also learn about helpful features that make charting faster and easier.
When to Use This
Use this guide whenever you need to create, edit, complete, lock, or delete a patient chart.
What You Need
- Practitioner profile in Juvonno
- Your default landing page set to My Dashboard (recommended)
My Dashboard is your central workspace, giving you quick access to:
- Your daily schedule
- Appointment details
- Charts that are in progress or ready to complete
Tip: Learn how to make My Dashboard your default landing page.
Create a Chart
You can start a chart from either of these locations.
Option1: Appointment Details
- On your Dashboard, find Appointment Details
- Select Add Chart
Option 2: The Charting Tab
The Charting tab displays all of your charts, including appointments that haven't been charted yet.
Appointments that need a chart are marked Not Started
- Select the menu beside the appointment
-
Click New Chart
Once a chart has been started, it remains In Progress until you complete or lock it
Continue a Chart
Need to finish a chart later? No problem. You can continue working on an In Progress chart at any time.
Option 1: Appointment Details
If a chart already exists for the appointment:
- Open the appointment
- Select Continue Chart
Option 2: The Charting Tab
- Locate the In Progress chart
- Click the menu
- Select Continue
- Once the chart opens, click Continue Chart
Helpful Charting Features
While charting, you'll have access to several features designed to streamline your workflow.
Auto-Save
Your work is automatically saved every 2 minutes (V2 chart templates only), so you don't need to worry about saving as you go.
Rich Text Formatting
Format your notes using tools such as:
- Bold
- Italics
- Underline
- Text colour
- Lists
Express Notes
Save time by inserting commonly used text with Express Notes.
Simply select an Express Note or use its shortcut code to add prewritten content to your chart in seconds.
Tip: Learn how to create and use Express Notes
Pain Scale
Record the patient's pain level using the Pain Scale dropdown.
Medical Warnings and Complaints
View or update a patient's Medical Warnings and Complaints directly from the chart.
Complete a Chart
When you've finished documenting:
Select Complete & Close
Your chart is marked Completed, but you can still edit it later if needed.
Each time a completed chart is edited and completed again, Juvonno automatically creates a new version.
When exporting a chart to PDF, the newest version is selected by default.
Lock a Chart
Locking a chart prevents any further edits.
To lock a chart:
- Select Lock Chart
-
Click Complete & Close
Once a chart has been locked, it cannot be unlocked.
If additional documentation is needed later, you can create additional Notes without changing the locked chart.
Delete a Chart
Delete an In Progress Chart
- Open Chars from My Dashboard
- Select the menu
-
Choose Delete Version in Progress
Delete a Completed Chart
- Open the menu
-
Select Delete Chart
Keep in mind
Deleting a chart permanently removes it and it cannot be restored, even by the Juvonno team.
If you don't see the delete option, your user account may not have permission. Contact your system administrator if you need access.
Chart Statuses
Understanding chart statuses makes it easier to keep track of your documentation.
Not Started
A chart has not been created for the appointment yet.
In Progress
You're still working on the chart.
If you reopen a completed chart to make changes, it returns to In Progress until you select Complete & Close again.
If you decide not to keep your edits, you can discard them to restore the previous completed version.
Completed
The chart has been finished using Complete & Close.
Completed charts can still be edited unless they are locked.
Locked
The chart has been finalized and can no longer be edited.
Things to Know
- Appointments appear in the Charting tab after the client has been marked Arrived or a later status, such as Completed, Billed, or Paid
- The practitioner (or administrator) who most recently updates the chart is shown as the author
- Each time a completed chart is edited and completed again, Juvonno creates a new version so you always have a history of changes
