How to Set Up HCAI Products & Services

The following fields are used to create a service for HCAI

• Department: Select the Department that the service belongs to 
• Category: Select the Category that the service belongs to 
• Name: Enter the name of service 
• Item #: Enter a searchable number for this service 
  • 💡Tip: Choose something that is different from the HCAI code 
• Codes: Enter the HCAI code 
  • Refer to HCAI 
• Unit of Measure Quantity: Enter a number value (e.g., 1) 
• Unit of Measure: Enter the unit that corresponds with the service and quantity
  • MIN for minutes 
  • HR for hour
  • PR for procedure
  • GD for good 
  • KM for kilometer
  • SN for session 
• Retail: Enter the price to be billed for the service 
  • Refer to HCAI for guidelines
• Covered by Insurance: Select Yes 
• eClaims Procedure Code: Select if this service will also be submitted through TELUS eClaims
• Service Duration
• Assessment: Check off if the service is an assessment
• HCAI PAF Type
  • For MIGs only 
  • Select Guideline Service for HCAI services
• HCAI Unit of Measure QTY: Enter the number value (e.g., 1) 
• HCAI Unit of Measure:
  • MIN for minutes
  • HR for hour
  • PR for procedure
  • GD for good
  • KM for kilometer
  • SN for session 
• Apply to Schedule Types: Add any relevant Schedule Type(s)

• HCAI Unit of Measure QTY: Enter the number value (e.g., 1) 
• HCAI Unit of Measure:
  • GD for good
