How to Enable Drugs and Create a Prescription

Juvonno has a complete database of drugs that can be imported into your system to use to create prescriptions. This article will walk you through How to Enable Drugs and Create a Prescription

 

How to Enable Prescriptions and Import Drug Database

Note: If you do not have access to these settings, please contact your clinic administrator.

Step 1: Enable the Module

Navigate to Settings > General > Modules then under Advanced, set Prescriptions to Enabled

Then under Other, set Drugs to Enabled then Save

 

Next, select Patients, then under Prescriptions set the Medication field to Enabled and Save

 

Note Prescriptions can also be accessed or restricted in the Staff User Type.  Navigate to Settings, under the Staff heading select User Types (only accessible to Admin level 2). Under the Edit/Delete Prescriptions field and the Prescription Practitioner Assignment fields you can grant or restrict access.

 

Step 2: Import Drugs

Go to Settings then select Drugs under System Entities & Types

 

From inside the Drugs menu, select Import Drugs

Then Import

 

Your system now has the most up-to-date drug database imported.

 

How to Create a New Prescription

Easily create a new Prescription directly from the Practitioner Dashboard

 

Step 1: Access the Prescription Menu

From the Dashboard, under Appointment Details, select

 

Alternatively, you can go to the Patient Profile then select the Prescriptions tab, then select the Create button then Medication Rx

 

 

Step 2: Enter the Details for the Prescription

In the Name field you can start typing in a medication, it will be pulled by the drug list that is uploaded to your system. Then fill in the Usage and Dosage information.

Next, you can either Create Prescription, Save Prescription & Template which will save the current prescription and create a Prescription Template for later use, or if you're integrated with SRFax, you can Save & Fax 

 

Conclusion

Once saved the prescription will appear under the Prescription tab inside the Patient Profile where it can be viewed or printed
