Charting Experience Updates

Overview

We’ve introduced several improvements to the charting experience to give you more control, reduce interruptions, and make key actions easier to access.

These updates include new customization options, interface refinements, and visual indicators to help you quickly understand chart status at a glance.

What's New

Customize How Charts Open

You can now choose how charts open from your dashboard based on your workflow preference.

To update your setting:

Open your Profile

Go to Preferences

Locate Default Chart View

Select one of the following:
- Default: Chart loads on the My Day screen
- Full Width: Expands the chart to fill your screen
- New Window: Opens charts in a separate browser window
Save your changes

Auto-Refreshing My Day Schedule

The My Day schedule now refreshes automatically when appointment updates occur.

Updates apply to current and upcoming appointments
Only the left-side schedule panel refreshes
The rest of your screen remains unchanged

This allows you to see real-time updates, such as patient arrivals, without interrupting your workflow.

Updated Charting Interface

We’ve refined the charting interface to simplify actions and improve usability.

Updates include:

Simplified labels:
- Lock Chart is now Lock
- Copy From Last is now Copy From
A new Save button that allows you to save your work without closing the chart
Complete & Close has been moved into a dropdown menu
- Includes the Complete & Print option
