How to Give Staff Access to JComm

  • Updated

Learn how to give staff access to JComm so they can create and manage communication campaigns. Access is controlled through User Type settings, which determine what each staff member can see and do within the system.

When to Use This

Use this when:

  • A staff member needs to create or manage campaigns in JComm
  • You are setting up permissions for new staff
  • You are adjusting access levels for existing roles

What You Need

  • A JComm subscription

Permissions

  • You must be logged in as a Level 2 Administrator to update User Type permissions.

Granting Access to JComm

  1. Go to Settings
  2. Under Staff, select User Types
  3. Open the User Type you want to update by clicking Edit

  1. Navigate to Communication
  2. Find JuvonnoComm
  3. Set access to Granted

  1. Click Save

Result

Staff assigned to this User Type will now see the JComm icon and be able to access its features.

Avoid Common Mistakes

  • Updating a User Type affects all staff assigned to it, not just one person
  • Forgetting to assign the updated User Type to the correct staff profile

Troubleshooting

JComm icon is not visible

  • Confirm the staff member is assigned to a User Type with JComm access
  • Verify that JuvonnoComm is set to Granted in the User Type settings
  • Log out and back in to refresh permissions after changes are saved

Changes were made but access didn’t update

  • Ensure you clicked Save after updating the User Type
  • Have the staff member log out and back in, as permission changes may not apply in an active session

Only one staff member needs access, but others were affected

  • User Type changes apply to everyone assigned to that User Type
  • Create a new User Type with JComm access if you need more granular control

Staff still can’t access JComm after being assigned the correct User Type

  • Double-check that the correct User Type is assigned on the staff profile (not just edited in settings)
  • Confirm there are no duplicate or similarly named User Types causing confusion
