You can customize the background image in your Patient Portal to create a more branded and consistent experience for your clients.
When clients book an appointment through the portal, this image appears on the appointment booking pages, helping reinforce your clinic’s visual identity.
What You Need
Before adding a background image to your Patient Portal, make sure you have:
- An image file saved on your device
- A JPG or PNG image format
- An image sized appropriately for web display (we recommend 1200 × 1200 pixels for best results)
Permissions
You will need access to:
- General System Settings
Adding a Background Image in the Patient Portal
- Go to Settings
- Under System & Company Settings, select General
- Click Portal
- Navigate to Background Image
- Click Choose File
- Select the image from your device
- Click Save
Result
After saving your changes, the image will appear in your Patient Portal appointment booking pages.
When a patient selects Book Appointment in the portal, the background image will be displayed on the pages related to booking an appointment.
| Note: The image only appears during the appointment booking process and will not display on other areas of the portal. |
Troubleshooting
My image isn't showing
- Confirm that you clicked Save after uploading the image in General System Settings.
- The background image will not appear across all areas of the portal. The image only appears on appointment booking pages when a patient clicks Book Appointment in the portal.
My image doesn't look right
- Try resizing the image. We recommend 1200 × 1200 pixels for best results.
- If the image looks stretched or cropped, adjust the dimensions so the main subject is centered.
My image won't upload
- Make sure the file is in JPG or PNG format.
- Confirm the file is not excessively large (very high-resolution images may fail to upload)
