Overview: Patient Lookup

Patient Lookup lets you quickly find and view patient information without navigating away from the page you're currently working on.

Search by name, phone number, email address, or chart number. Select a patient from the results to open the Patient Lookup panel.

How It Works 

1. Go to the search bar
2. Search for the patient using one of the following: 
   • Name 
   • Phone number
   • Email address
   • Chart

3. Select the patient from the search results 

    

4. The Patient Lookup panel opens with information and actions available for that patient 

    

   

Your recent searches are saved, making it easy to quickly select a patient you've recently looked up.

Key Behaviours 

Patient Lookup gives you quick access to patient information and actions without opening the patient's full profile.

Depending on your clinic's configuration, you can:

• View patient information, including insurance and outstanding balances
• Access Patient Stats, Patient Info, Modules, and Quick Links
• Add or view documents
• Create a Quick Invoice
• Create a Letter
• Send a text message if your clinic subscribes to JComm
• Open the patient's email address in your external email application

• Send a Patient Welcome Packet

   

Customize Patient Lookup

Use the Patient Lookup Builder to choose and arrange the information displayed in the panel.

You can customize:

• Patient Statistics
• Quick Links
• Patient Information

• Modules

   

What Happens Next 

Once you've found a patient, you can get the information or take the action you need directly from the Patient Lookup panel.

If you need to access the full patient profile, select the patient's name. For actions that take you to another area, such as viewing documents, hold Control while selecting the option to open it in a new tab.
