Two-Factor Authentication (2FA) adds an extra layer of security to your account by requiring a verification code in addition to your password when signing in. This helps protect your account from unauthorized access.
You can set this up yourself from your profile, unless your organization requires it.
When to Use This
- When you want to improve account security across your organization
- When enforcing security policies for all users (using Required setting)
- When individual users want added protection for their account
What You Need
- A mobile device with an authenticator app installed
Examples include:- Google Authenticator
- Authy
- Apple Authenticator
- Microsoft Authenticator
These apps are free to download from your device’s app store
Permissions
- Access to General System Settings (only required for administrators configuring system-wide 2FA)
Setting Up 2FA (From Your Profile)
- Open your Profile
- Click the Login tab
Next to Two-Factor Authentication, click Enable
- Open your authenticator app on your mobile device
- Scan the QR code displayed on screen
Enter the 6-digit code from your authenticator app
- Tip: Codes refresh frequently, so enter it quickly
- Enter your password
- Click Enable
Sign in Using 2FA
- Open your authenticator app
Sign In to Juvonno with your username and password
- Enter the 6-digit code from your authenticator app
- Click Login
For Administrators: Configure 2FA Settings
To manage how 2FA is applied across your organization:
- Navigate to Settings
- Under System & Company Settings, select General
- Click Security
- Set the Two-Factor Auth Status to one of the following:
- Optional
- Users can enable or disable 2FA from their profile
Required
- All users must set up 2FA
- Users will be prompted to complete set up after their first two logins
- Optional
Result
You’re all set. Two-factor authentication is now active on your account.
Each time you sign in, you’ll be asked for a time-sensitive 6-digit code from your authenticator app, along with your password.
If 2FA is set to Required, users won’t be able to continue signing in until setup is complete.
Avoid Common Issues
Not completing setup when 2FA is required
- You won’t be able to finish signing in until setup is complete
Switching devices without resetting 2FA first
- If possible, reset 2FA before changing phones
Entering an expired code
- Codes refresh every few seconds. If one fails, the next one should work
Assuming admin access is required
- Most users can enable 2FA directly from their profile
Troubleshooting
Codes aren't being accepted
- Make sure your device’s time is set to automatic and synced with your network
Lost access to your authenticator app or device
- Reach out to your system administrator to have your 2FA reset so you can set it up again
Got a new or replacement phone
- Your system administrator will need to reset your 2FA before you can reconnect a new device
