How to Archive a Deceased Patient’s Record

If a patient passes away, you can archive their record by marking them as deceased. Simply follow the steps below.

 

Step 1: Search for the Patient 

Enter the patient’s name in the Search Bar at the top of the page. Then select the patient from the drop-down menu.

 

Step 2: Open the Patient Profile

In the Patient Lookup window, click the patient’s name to access their full profile. 

 

Step 3: Mark as Deceased

Check the box labeled Deceased and select the date of passing.

 

 

Tip: If the deceased field is not visible:

  1. Go to Settings > General > Patients.

  2. Under Patient Profile, toggle Deceased to Show.

Important: To prevent further notifications, uncheck all boxes in the patient’s subscription preferences.
