This article outlines how to enter and update OHIP credentials for your clinic, accounting settings, and practitioner profiles. It covers where each piece of information goes and what’s required to support OHIP billing setup.

What You Need
- Clinic MOH ID (OHIP number)
- OHIP Username and Password
- Group Number (if applicable)
- Practitioner Billing Number
- Billing Suffix
- Practitioner Specialty
Permissions
- Access to Settings
- Access to Accounting Module Settings
- Permission to edit clinic and practitioner profiles
Add OHIP Credentials to the Clinic Profile
- Go to Settings
- Under System & Company Settings, select Clinics
- Open the clinic's profile
In the Details tab, locate the OHIP section
- Enter the following:
- MOH ID #
- Username
- Password
- Group Number (if applicable)
| Tip: Only add the Group Number if the clinic has set up their providers in a Group |
Add OHIP Credentials in Accounting
- Go to Accounting
- Under the OHIP, select Module Settings
- Enter the following details
- Webservice Enabled: Select Yes
- MOH ID: Clinic number
- Username: Registered OHIP username
- Password: Registered OHIP password
- Click Save
| Tip: For security reasons, the password will not display after saving. To update it, re-enter the new password in the Password and Confirm Password fields. |
Add OHIP Credentials to a Practitioner Profile
- Go to Settings
- Under Staff, select Practitioners
- Open the practitioner's profile
In the Profile tab:
- Enter Practitioner # (Practitioner Billing Number)
- Enter Billing Suffix (OHIP Billing Code Suffix)
- Next to Billing, select Yes
In the Specialties tab:
- Select +Add Specialty
- Choose the appropriate specialty from the dropdown
- Click Add
- Save your changes
Repeat for each provider.
Result
OHIP credentials are successfully added to the clinic, accounting module, and practitioner profiles, allowing for proper billing and claims submission.
